33 weeks

Whew--time flies when you are getting bigger by the minute!  We are now 33 weeks into this pregnancy and ready to meet these two little babies.  They are both right around 4lbs. each and growing more and more every day.  At this stage they should be gaining about a 1/2 lb. per week which means that I gain a full pound of baby weight each week--not counting any other weight I might gain!

These past few weeks have been very busy.  We have had three showers and received TONS of essentials and cute items for the babies.  We have been very blessed by the outpouring of gifts from our family and friends.  I don't think these two are going to lack for anything!

Thanksgiving and Christmas were fun too.  We spent Thanksgiving in SC with the Hayes family.  It was a great time for us all to be together.  My brother, Glenn and his wife, Karen hosted the dinner.  It was great to see Karen as she has been fighting a year long battle with cancer.  Christmas was spent here in Georgia with the Scholtens clan.  It was fun to see all the boys interact and play together.  Still not sure what they are going to do next year when we add another boy and a GIRL in the mix!  We found out that Kurt and Whitney are adopting a son from Ethiopia and he will be a joy to have in our family as well.  We LOVED having little Peter stay with us (and Brad and Kristin too) as he is such a cutie and it is fun to see him grow knowing how small he was at birth.

We can't believe it is 2012 already!  My c-section is scheduled for February 7th, but I doubt I will make it that far--we can always hope!  The house is ready for their arrival, so now it is time for Drew and I to get mentally prepared for their arrival.  So, stay tuned as chaos is soon to come to this Scholtens' house!
